About the owner:

My name is Nick Hill, I’m a mechanic from the capital region of New York and I have an azure blue pearl 300zx NA 2+0. I have owned this Z since July of 2020, and after months of paperwork, got it on the road in September of 2020. This would be my second Z32, the first being a junker I bought in August of 2019; a black 1990 Twin Turbo that someone had put a NA motor into for an unknown reason. That Z ran for about 5 hours after it was delivered to my house, died, and never ran again. I tried to make it run, but just ended up making things worse. Honestly, I’m not sure what made me buy a Z32. I purchased my first Z32 a few months after learning the platform existed. Little did I know what I was getting into.

My Z is daily driven and taken to the track about once a month during the season, and garage kept through the winters. I go to the New York Safety Track with a few clubs in my area, and my current PR is 1:46.8. Taking my Z to the track has seriously improved my driving skill and understanding of just how well these cars take turns. Being an NA, I am at a significant horsepower disadvantage but still manage to keep up with 350z’s, 370z’s, and even an M5. The biggest track related issues I’m facing right now are understeer because of having a relatively narrow front tire, and overheating with the stock cooling system, leading to my future plans.

My future plans include getting a nice wheel and tire setup for street, most likely Work VS XX reps, paired with continental extreme contact sports. A better track wheel/tire setup, RPF1s 17x9.5 with square 255mm R888Rs. A Koyo NA performance radiator. I'll also be doing some bodywork and paint restoration, and maybe even some Twinz body parts to freshen the look up a bit.
